A caregiver in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has been charged with multiple counts of child rape. Dylan Keith Shenk, a 34-year-old resident of Manheim, was arrested following accusations of sexually assaulting a child on several occasions. The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department reported that on May 14, a child disclosed being raped by Shenk, providing detailed descriptions of the acts and items involved.
Police obtained a search warrant for Shenk's residence at 1247 Newport Road, where they found and photographed the items described by the child. Shenk was taken into custody and, during questioning, was reportedly forthcoming about the location of these items. He faces charges including Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child, and Aggravated Indecent Assault of a Child under 13, among others.
Shenk is currently held in Lancaster County Prison without bail due to concerns for community safety. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday (May 26) at 9 a.m.
The police investigation remains ongoing, and Shenk is considered innocent until proven guilty in court. More information can be found on the ABC27, Yahoo News, and Crimewatch websites.
