A Lebanon County man, Adam Berryhill, 42, faces charges after allegedly posting a hit list targeting 20 Democratic members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Police say Berryhill made politically violent posts on his X account, referencing a "Memorial Day Operation" and displaying firearms.

Berryhill was arrested on May 6, 2026, and charged with making terroristic threats. According to a criminal complaint obtained by NBC Philadelphia, Berryhill's posts included threats of violence and derogatory comments about the lawmakers, whom he referred to as "communist infiltrators."

The Pennsylvania State Police linked the threatening posts to Berryhill through emails, phone records, and an IP address. Among those targeted were House Speaker Joanna McClinton and State Senator Sharif Street.

State Sen. Katie Muth and Rep. Emily Kinkead expressed concern over the threats, emphasizing the need for improved communication regarding lawmakers' safety. State Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa criticized the communication breakdown that left legislators uninformed about the threats.

Berryhill, who has a history of legal issues, including previous guilty pleas for terroristic threats and assault, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Thursday (May 15). Spotlight PA reports that the case has raised concerns about political violence and the safety of elected officials in Pennsylvania.
