In Lebanon, Pennsylvania, 22 homes were evacuated on Monday (May 4) due to a gas leak. Crews responded to the 400 block of North Fourth Street shortly before 11:30 a.m. after a natural gas line was struck, causing the leak. As a precaution, residents of the nearby homes were evacuated but were able to return approximately 40 minutes later. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to officials, the leak was caused by a contractor striking the gas line. Firefighters and utility workers were on the scene to manage the situation and ensure safety. The quick response by emergency crews helped to minimize the disruption to the community.
