Four Displaced After Electrical Fire in Lewistown

An electrical fire in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, displaced four residents over the weekend. The fire occurred at a home on South Wayne Street late Saturday night (May 2). According to WHTM, first responders arrived around 11 p.m. and quickly managed to control the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The City Hook & Ladder confirmed that the fire was caused by an electrical issue. The residents are now "indefinitely displaced" as a result of the incident. The American Red Cross has been contacted to provide assistance to those affected.

The fire department's rapid response ensured that the situation was mitigated without injuries. However, the displaced residents face an uncertain future as they seek temporary housing. The fire serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of electrical issues in homes.
