Authorities in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, are investigating an arson incident that occurred at Makle Park's basketball court. According to the Columbia Borough Police Department, two individuals were seen deliberately setting a fire involving metal and clothing at around 1:09 a.m. on Tuesday (April 28). The fire caused damage to the court, with a metal zipper found fused to the surface.
The suspects were seen leaving the park around 1:21 a.m., heading towards South Fifth Street via Corn Avenue. Columbia Borough police are urging anyone with information or ring camera footage of the suspects to come forward.
Local21 News reported that the police are describing the incident as a "deliberate act of arson." The Columbia Borough Police Department is actively seeking leads and has asked residents in the area to review any security footage that might assist in identifying the suspects.
