Former Gettysburg Mayor Chad-Alan Carr appeared in court on Wednesday (April 29) as new sexual assault charges were filed against him. According to WHTM, three more individuals have accused Carr of sexual assault and soliciting explicit images, leading to additional felony and misdemeanor charges.
The allegations date back over a decade, with one victim claiming Carr assaulted him after meeting on Grindr in October 2015. Another victim, who lived with Carr between December 2014 and October 2015, reported a similar assault. A third victim stated that Carr groomed him during summer camps at the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center, requesting explicit photos.
Carr, who resigned as mayor in March after initial charges surfaced, had served less than three months in office. The Adams County District Attorney announced these charges during a press conference, encouraging other potential victims to come forward.
The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center has expressed its commitment to cooperating with the investigation and reviewing its child protection policies. Carr's formal arraignment for the March charges is scheduled for May, as reported by FOX43.
