The Walmart store on Grayson Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is among 32 locations in the state slated for remodeling this year. This initiative is part of Walmart's broader effort to modernize both the in-store and digital shopping experiences. The remodeling project aims to enhance customer convenience and improve service delivery.

According to Walmart, the remodeling will include updates to store layouts, technology, and services. The upgraded stores will feature expanded services such as free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members and a store-based app to help customers navigate through the store and book services at the Auto Care Center.

Walmart has invested over $518 million in Pennsylvania over the past five years to upgrade its stores. This year, the retailer plans to remodel more than 650 stores nationwide.

The remodeled stores will also include updated pharmacies and vision centers, offering vaccines and other clinical services, as well as free cleanings and adjustments. The upgrades are part of Walmart's commitment to investing in the future of its stores and the communities they serve, as stated by Annie Walker, Senior Vice President of Walmart's East Business Unit.

WPVI notes that the initiative will also expand the assortment of health foods and affordable on-trend items available to customers.

The remodeling is expected to be completed by the end of the year, enhancing the shopping experience for customers in Harrisburg and across Pennsylvania.
