Driver Killed in Lancaster County Crash

A tragic accident in West Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, claimed the life of a driver on Monday (April 20). Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Marietta Avenue and Bridge Valley Road around 10:22 a.m. and found two vehicles involved in the crash.

According to the West Hempfield Township Police Department, one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital for treatment. No other passengers were in either vehicle.

The Lancaster County Crash Team and the county coroner’s office are investigating the incident. As a result, Marietta Avenue was closed between Raintree Road and Jasmine Place until 2:20 p.m. to allow for a thorough investigation.

The names of the drivers involved have not been released, and the condition of the surviving driver remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash.
