A car fire in the drive-thru of an M&T Bank in Peach Bottom Township, York County, Pennsylvania, spread to the bank building on Monday (April 20). The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Delta Road, prompting a response from multiple fire departments.
According to the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company Station 57, crews worked for approximately an hour and a half to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported, and everyone inside the bank evacuated safely.
The fire was initially contained by the Delta-Cardiff Fire Department, with assistance from several other local fire companies, including Whiteford, Citizens, Airville, Jarrettsville, Norrisville, Alliance, Darlington, Southern York County EMS, and Bel Aire.
As reported by WHP, the fire began in a vehicle parked in the drive-thru lane, quickly spreading to the bank's structure. The cause of the car fire is still under investigation.
