Man Injured After Accidental Pipe Bomb Explosion

A Lancaster County man, Travis Peachey, is facing charges after authorities reported that he accidentally detonated a pipe bomb he had built. According to police, Peachey constructed the bomb intending to entertain guests at his home in Salisbury Township last weekend. However, when he learned that his guests were not coming, he attempted to disarm the bomb.

In the process of disarming it, Peachey accidentally dropped the device, causing it to explode. The explosion resulted in injuries to his eye and face, and he was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.
