A 17-year-old girl from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is facing serious charges after allegedly fatally stabbing her boyfriend, 18-year-old Ta'Mar Shaw, on Monday night (April 6). The accused, Delaysia Terrell-Brown, reportedly posted videos on social media before the incident, showing her pointing and throwing a knife at Shaw.
According to an affidavit, police responded to a call at around 10:45 p.m. on the 1400 block of Market Street, where they found Shaw with a stab wound to his chest. He was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries, and his death was ruled a homicide by the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office.
Terrell-Brown initially told police that Shaw asked for a knife to cut paper for rolling a blunt, but later changed her story, claiming she did not witness the stabbing. However, investigators received a tip about Terrell-Brown's Instagram account, which featured videos of her threatening Shaw with a knife. One video showed a hand attempting to stab Shaw, captioned "lmaoo cut that wrist up." The knife in the video matched one recovered from Terrell-Brown's room.
The Harrisburg Police Department charged Terrell-Brown with first-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held at the Dauphin County Prison without bail, as she is considered a threat to society.
Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, stating, "These investigations don’t end with an arrest." A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 20.
This incident marks the second homicide in Harrisburg in 2026. The community is shocked by the violence, especially given the young ages of those involved. Neighbors expressed their concern, with one stating, "It's unfortunate. We have kids here, and for something like this to happen so close to home, it's scary."
