Two children were taken to a hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Hampden Township, Cumberland County, early Wednesday (March 26) morning.
According to dispatch officials, the crash happened at approximately 5:12 a.m. near the Exit 2 on-ramp at Pennsylvania Route 581 near Creekview Road in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
First responders arrived to find three vehicles involved in the collision. At the scene, one child was evaluated for a neck injury, while the other suffered a leg injury requiring further examination. Both children were transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
The crash prompted road closures in the area, affecting traffic along Route 581. However, according to 511PA, the roadway was reopened and the scene was expected to be fully cleared by approximately 7:35 a.m.
The cause of the crash has not yet been released. No additional injuries were reported. Authorities have not announced any pending charges related to the collision.
