A Lebanon County, Pennsylvania man is expected to face criminal charges after allegedly grabbing the steering wheel from a driver last month, causing a crash that sent both people to the hospital.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident happened in Heidelberg Township, just north of Heidelberg Avenue, in February. A 38-year-old man riding as a passenger got into an argument with the 44-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle.
During the dispute, the man grabbed the steering wheel and turned it sharply to the right. The vehicle left the road, struck a fence, and then slammed into a garage.
Both the man and the woman were taken to Reading Hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
State Police say charges are expected to be filed against the passenger. The investigation is ongoing.
