A National Guard helicopter made an emergency landing in a southern Berks County field on Wednesday (March 4) after experiencing a sensor malfunction — but no one was hurt.
According to 69 News WFMZ, the incident happened just after 1 p.m. in a field on the 100 block of Moyer Road in Robeson Township. A fire official on the scene told the outlet that the crew reported a problem with the sensors aboard a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, which prompted the precautionary landing.
Two National Guard members were on board at the time. Neither was injured, and the helicopter was not damaged.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
