Authorities in Springettsbury Township, Pennsylvania, have identified a man found dead in a creek behind a local Sam's Club last weekend.
Springettsbury Township Police identified the victim as Aquil Bailey, 30, of York. Bailey was found submerged in a creek near North Northern Way and Concord Road on Sunday (February 22) at around 4:45 p.m.
The creek, located behind the Sam's Club at that location, is an unnamed tributary to nearby Mill Creek, as reported by CBS 21. Springettsbury Township Police, along with York Area United Fire and Rescue, responded to the scene.
The York County Coroner's Office was called to assist, and as reported by CBS 21, an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday (February 24) at noon. The coroner's office said more information would be available following the autopsy.
The investigation into Bailey's death remains ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 717-757-3525.
