Body Found in York County Creek, Autopsy Scheduled

Authorities in York County, Pennsylvania, are investigating after a body was recovered from a creek in Springettsbury Township on Sunday (February 22).

According to the York County Coroner's Office, crews were called to the area of North Northern Way and Concord Road at approximately 4:43 p.m. A person was found in an unnamed tributary of Mill Creek, located behind the Sam's Club on East Market Street near the 2800 block.

Springettsbury Township Police were dispatched to the scene, along with the coroner's office. CBS 21 also confirmed that York Area United Fire and Rescue responded to the scene alongside police.

The coroner's office says an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday (February 24) at noon. Authorities have said that an update on the investigation will be provided at that time.

The investigation remains ongoing. No further details about the identity of the person or the circumstances of the death have been released.
