Two people were discovered dead inside an apartment in Watts Township, Perry County on Sunday (February 8) in what Pennsylvania State Police believe was a domestic dispute.
Troopers responded to the 3200 block of Susquehanna Trail at approximately 2:23 p.m. after receiving a report of two deceased individuals, according to WGAL News.
The Perry County Coroner identified the deceased as **Ashley Rice**, 38, and **Kevin Crockett**, 35. After securing the scene, state police activated a partial Troop H Major Case Team to assist the Newport Criminal Investigation Unit with the investigation.
Perry County Coroner Robert Ressler responded to the scene, and authorities consulted with Perry County District Attorney David Merris, Daily Voice reported.
"It is believed that the deaths are related to a domestic dispute between the parties involved," state police said in their release. Authorities have emphasized there is no ongoing danger to the public.
Next of kin for both Rice and Crockett have been notified, but no additional details about the nature of their deaths have been provided.
The investigation remains ongoing, with state police, the coroner's office, and the district attorney's office working together on the case.
