York County officials have identified the two individuals who died in a suspected murder-suicide at a Spring Grove apartment complex last weekend.
According to the York County Coroner's office, Leticia Velez, 32, and Tyrelle Dwayne Manley Sr., 33, both of Spring Grove, were found dead inside an apartment at Spring Hollow Apartments on Saturday (January 31). The coroner's office was called to the scene just before 4:15 p.m., about an hour after police responded to reports of a shooting.
Both victims died from multiple gunshot wounds, as confirmed by autopsies performed Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital. While the cause of death has been determined, the manner of death remains under investigation for both individuals.
A neighbor who witnessed the incident told PennLive they saw Manley shoot Velez before taking his own life. The same neighbor reported hearing "banging around" in the apartment before gunshots were fired.
The shooting occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the first block of East 3rd Avenue in Spring Grove Borough. York County Regional Police are continuing to investigate the incident, and no further information has been released as of Wednesday night.
