Two girls who were kidnapped from Tennessee were found safe during a traffic stop in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, as state troopers arrested two adults on kidnapping charges.
Pennsylvania State Police were alerted just before midnight on Sunday (February 2) about the kidnapping and quickly located the suspect vehicle, a 2025 gray Nissan Rogue, traveling northbound on Interstate 81 near mile marker 440 in South Middleton Township, according to a press release issued Monday morning.
When troopers pulled over the vehicle, they found both girls inside unharmed. Two Pennsylvania residents, **Henry Rodriguez**, 36, of Allentown, and **Ana Rodriguez Gonzalez**, 60, of Tamaqua, were taken into custody at the scene.
The suspects were transported to Cumberland County Prison where they are currently being held as they await extradition back to Tennessee to face charges. Authorities have not yet specified what specific charges the pair will face in Tennessee.
State police have not released information about the relationship between the girls and the suspects, nor have they disclosed the ages of the victims or circumstances surrounding the initial abduction.
The successful rescue came after a multi-state alert was issued for the missing girls, demonstrating effective coordination between law enforcement agencies across state lines.
