Man Sought in Attempted Vending Machine Robbery in Carlisle

Authorities in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, are on the lookout for a man who attempted to rob a vending machine at a motel in Carlisle early Monday morning (January 19). According to the Middlesex Township Police Department, the suspect was caught on camera using a hammer to damage the machine in an attempt to access the money inside. The incident occurred at a Quality Inn located on the 1800 block of Harrisburg Pike at approximately 1:35 a.m.

Despite his efforts, the suspect was unsuccessful in retrieving any money from the machine. However, police are actively seeking to identify him as possible charges are pending. Anyone with information about the suspect's identity is urged to contact the Middlesex Township Police Department at 717-249-7191 or submit a tip online through their Crimewatch webpage.

The police have released a video of the suspect, which can be viewed on the Crimewatch website. The case is currently classified as vandalism under reference ID MT-26-00258.
