Man Killed in York Shooting on East King Street

A 31-year-old man was fatally shot in York, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (January 11). The incident occurred on the 900 block of East King Street shortly before 3 p.m. According to the York City Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting and cardiac arrest at approximately 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim with gunshot injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene.

This tragic event marks the first of two shootings that took place in York on the same day. About an hour later, another shooting occurred on the 600 block of Vander Avenue, where a 14-year-old boy was injured but survived. Police Captain Daniel Lentz stated that the two shootings are not believed to be connected.
