Authorities in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, have identified the victim of a fatal shooting and subsequent car crash as 20-year-old Mehki Brooks. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 30, at the intersection of South 26th and Duke Streets. According to Dauphin County officials, Brooks was shot in the abdomen and attempted to flee the scene by car. However, he crashed into multiple parked vehicles about a mile away at 25th and Burma Streets. Brooks was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Dauphin County coroner has ruled the death a homicide. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Harrisburg Police at 717-558-6900. Tips can also be submitted online.
