A Lancaster County couple, Gebron Reid, 31, and Maline Ounn, 29, are facing serious charges for allegedly abusing two children using household items. According to authorities, the couple used objects such as extension cords and curtain rods to beat the children. The alleged abuse took place multiple times between July and December 2024.

The couple, residing on East King Street in Lancaster City, waived their preliminary hearings, allowing their cases to move to county court. Both Reid and Ounn have been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of children and two counts of simple assault. Additionally, Ounn faces a charge of terroristic threats. During a preliminary hearing on October 6, Reid was accused of threatening an assistant district attorney, leading to further charges of retaliation against a prosecutor and terroristic threats.

One of the victims reported being hit in the face, head, back, and stomach with an extension cord and curtain rod. The second victim stated that they were struck with a wooden spoon. Both Reid and Ounn are currently out on bail, with Reid posting a $100,000 bail for the October incident and Ounn released on a $5,000 unsecured bail.

As the case proceeds to county court, the community remains attentive to the developments in this disturbing case. The legal process will determine the consequences for Reid and Ounn, as they face the allegations of child abuse.
