An early morning house fire on Sunday (December 14) claimed the life of 80-year-old Rosemary Baker in Hampden Township, Pennsylvania. The fire occurred on the 1000 block of Orrs Bridge Road, where Baker was the sole resident. Fire crews responded to the blaze around 2 a.m., and after an extensive search involving multiple fire companies and a cadaver dog, Baker was found deceased at the scene. According to the Cumberland County Coroner's Office, she died from massive thermal burns.
The home has been deemed a total loss, and a firefighter sustained a minor leg injury while battling the flames, which was treated on-site.
