Authorities discovered a human trafficking victim in a York County home earlier this month. On November 4, Maryland State Police, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Service, located the victim in Hanover, Pennsylvania, alongside Deion Taurence Philip, a 32-year-old New York resident. Philip was taken into custody without incident. Two days later, police arrested 57-year-old Antoine Miles from Maryland at an airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for his alleged involvement in the trafficking operation. Both men face charges of sex trafficking of a minor and other related offenses.
The investigation began in September 2025 when Maryland State Police, working with the Baltimore County Police Department Vice/Narcotics Unit and the FBI, identified a critically missing juvenile being advertised online for sexual acts. The girl was rescued from a hotel in Towson, Maryland. Investigators believe that Philip and Miles may have trafficked additional victims and urge anyone with information to contact authorities at 410-694-4700. According to Maryland State Police, all calls will remain confidential.
Amanda Rodriguez, CEO of the victim-advocacy group TurnAround, highlighted the dangers of trafficking in hotels, stating, "These children are put in extreme danger if they're being trafficked in an area, especially something that's hidden like a hotel where things can happen behind a door." The organization is addressing the crisis in Baltimore County, which has seen numerous cases originating from the Towson area.
Philip is currently held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center, while Miles awaits extradition to Maryland. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to uncover the extent of the trafficking network.
