Two Dead in York County Murder-Suicide

Two people are dead following a murder-suicide in York County, Pennsylvania. On Wednesday morning (November 5), Fairview Township police responded to a shooting at a home on Wilcox Drive. They discovered the bodies of 71-year-old Donald Savidge and his 68-year-old wife, Ann Savidge, in their bedroom.

According to the York County Coroner's Office, Donald Savidge fatally shot Ann before turning the gun on himself. The cause of death for both individuals was a gunshot wound to the head. Ann's death was ruled a homicide, while Donald's was ruled a suicide. The police confirmed that the incident was contained to the house, and there is no threat to the public.

The couple had lived in their home since 1999, and the motive behind the tragic event remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released any additional information.

Fairview Township Police led the investigation, with assistance from Newberry Township Police, the York County Quick Response Team, and other local agencies.
