A man from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, is facing serious charges after police discovered explosive-making materials in his home. Mark McNutt, 50, was arrested last Friday (October 24) after officers searched his residence and found items intended for creating explosives, including pipe bombs and Molotov cocktails. McNutt, who works as an electrical engineer and owns MAV3NX Technology Consultants, reportedly expressed anti-government sentiments online, particularly against the Trump administration. According to CBS 21 News, police began investigating after a coworker reported McNutt's interest in explosives and his discussions about political anarchy.

During the search, authorities seized materials that could be used to construct explosive devices. McNutt reportedly told a coworker that he was preparing for a potential situation requiring such devices. Court documents reveal that McNutt faces multiple felony charges, including criminal attempt – weapons of mass destruction, risking catastrophe, and endangering the welfare of children. He is being held in Cumberland County Prison without bail, as he is considered a credible threat to the public. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 5.
