Harrisburg Approves $14M for Broad Street Market Restoration

The Harrisburg City Council has approved an additional $14 million for the restoration of the Broad Street Market, bringing the city's total investment to over $19 million. The decision was made unanimously by the council on Tuesday (September 30). The market, a historic site in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was severely damaged by a fire more than two years ago.

The restoration project aims to revive the market and provide a space for vendors to operate once again. The city plans to have the market ready for vendors to move in by the end of May 2027. The additional funding will support ongoing construction efforts to restore the market to its former glory.

The Broad Street Market is a significant landmark in Harrisburg, known for its diverse range of vendors and vibrant community atmosphere. The restoration project is expected to revitalize the area and attract both locals and tourists.
