Authorities have discovered additional detonation systems at the home of Timothy Shaeffer in Columbia, Pennsylvania. This follows a previous discovery earlier in the week of over a dozen homemade explosives and a remote detonation device at a separate location. On Wednesday (September 10), State Police and the FBI conducted a search of Shaeffer's home, uncovering another remote detonator and multiple electronic devices.

Shaeffer was initially taken into custody after police found 14 explosive devices at a residence in Millcreek Township on Tuesday (September 9). The investigation began when a woman reported a Protection from Abuse violation by Shaeffer to Berks County police. She informed them that Shaeffer had a safe containing homemade explosives, which prompted the Pennsylvania State Police to evacuate the area around the home in Millcreek Township.

According to the Lebanon County District Attorney's office, the safe contained explosive devices capable of remote detonation. The devices posed a serious risk to the residents and neighbors. Shaeffer now faces charges including owning weapons of mass destruction, risking catastrophe, and recklessly endangering others.

The investigation is ongoing, with the FBI and Lebanon County Detective Bureau working together to ensure Shaeffer faces the maximum penalties under state and federal laws.
