A softball coach from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Toby Celestino, 37, faces charges for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with an underage player. According to ABC27, Celestino was charged on Monday (August 18) with sexual assault by a sports official and corruption of minors. He served as the co-head coach for the Lady Renegades, a traveling softball team in Chambersburg and Maryland. The team stated that Celestino has not been affiliated with them since 2022.

The charges stem from incidents reported by the victim, who approached the McConnellsburg barracks in July 2024. She alleged that Celestino assaulted her between 2020 and 2021, beginning with an encounter at a party where he provided alcohol. Tri-State Alert reports that Celestino was arraigned and released on a $50,000 unsecured bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 15.

The Lady Renegades expressed their support for the victim and emphasized their commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all players. They are reviewing their policies to ensure accountability and safety. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact law enforcement or the team's board.
