Woman Charged For Allegedly Using Blowtorch Against Officers
(York County, PA) -- An arrest warrant is being issued for a woman accused of trying to use a blowtorch against police officers in York County. West Manchester Township police said officers were called to a home on Ridings Way earlier this week after a family member reported the woman had stopped taking her medication and was being aggressive with family members. When officers arrived, authorities said the woman grabbed an aerosol device and lighter, dropped it when she was ordered to do so, but then pulled a screwdriver from her sock and tried to stab an officer. She was eventually subdued and admitted to the hospital, and now faces charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
