A Lancaster man, Daniel Jones Jr., aged 36, faces multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a home and spreading feces inside. The incident occurred on May 23 in Manheim Township, Pennsylvania. According to police, Jones entered a residence on the 1200 block of Pleasure Road, where he vandalized the bathroom and left feces on clothing and a towel belonging to the victim.
The victim initially thought they heard a cough inside their home but assumed it was their cat. Upon returning home, they detected a strong odor and discovered the mess. The police investigation revealed feces-covered clothing both inside and outside the residence. A shoe print found near the home helped identify Jones as a suspect.
Jones was later found rolling in the grass at a nearby location. He claimed he was trying to contact a friend and mentioned having an argument with the victim the previous night. Surveillance footage from a local restaurant, Primo Hoagie, showed Jones wearing clothing that matched those found at the crime scene.
Jones has been charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and criminal mischief. He remains in Lancaster County Prison, with a formal arraignment scheduled for June 27. The estimated damage to the victim's property is $70.
