According to the county's election office, a total of 12,342 mail-in and absentee ballots were received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, in compliance with Act 88's reporting requirements.

The primary, which was open to registered Republicans and Democrats, featured key races for county judges, municipal offices, including the mayor of Mechanicsburg, city council positions, tax collectors, school boards, and township supervisors. Secretary of State Al Schmidt reported that the primary election across Pennsylvania went smoothly, with only minor issues such as a few precincts opening late.

Voters cast their ballots securely at over 9,000 precincts throughout the state. By early evening, counties had received about 70% of the 800,000 mail ballots distributed by the Department of State. The primary winners will advance to the general election scheduled for November 4.
