Body Found in Dauphin County Cemetery; Investigation Ongoing

A man was found dead with a stab wound in a vehicle at Paxtang Cemetery in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday (January 28). The Swatara Township Police are investigating the incident as a homicide. The victim's identity has not been released, and no suspects have been named. According to authorities, the incident appears to have stemmed from an altercation that occurred the previous night on the 2700 block of Paxton Street. Police responded to reports of an assault in the area around 10 p.m. Monday (January 27), and evidence of the altercation was found at the scene. It is believed that those involved in the fight left the area in a vehicle, which was later discovered at the cemetery.

The Swatara Police Criminal Investigation Division, the Dauphin County Coroner's Office, the Dauphin County District Attorney's Office, and the Capitol Region Forensic Unit are all involved in the ongoing investigation. An autopsy is scheduled for later this week to determine the cause and manner of death.
