Authorities in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, have released new information regarding the unsolved shooting death of 13-year-old Jason Rivera, who was killed nearly three years ago. On February 15, 2022, an unknown assailant shot Rivera multiple times outside his uncle's residence in South Lebanon Township. Despite ongoing efforts, the case remains unsolved, and officials are seeking public assistance to identify the shooter.

The investigation revealed that the gun used in the shooting was stolen and later discovered in a vehicle during a traffic stop in Prince George's County, Maryland. However, no connections have been established between the driver and Rivera's murder. The Lebanon County District Attorney, Pier Hess Graf, stated that the shooting is believed to be "drug related and/or motivated," as narcotics were found in the uncle's apartment and vehicle, as well as in Rivera's room.

Ballistic tests linked the firearm to two other incidents in Maryland, including a drive-by shooting before Rivera's death. Despite these findings, the investigation has reached a standstill, with no witnesses coming forward to provide crucial information. Hess Graf emphasized the need for public cooperation, urging anyone with information to contact the Lebanon County Detective Bureau or the South Lebanon Police Department.

The authorities continue to seek answers, hoping to bring justice to Rivera's family. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the Lebanon County Detective Bureau at 717-228-4403 or the South Lebanon Police Department at 717-274-0481.
