A former high school teacher in Virginia has been arrested for allegedly selling vape cartridges containing THC and nicotine to students. Kaitlyn Cresent, 28, was taken into custody by the Fairfax County Police Department after an investigation revealed she sold the cartridges to four students at Falls Church High School between December 2023 and June 2024.

The investigation began when Child Protective Services received a referral on October 24, reporting that a teacher was selling vape cartridges to students. Detectives determined that Cresent, who was employed as a learning disabilities teacher, was responsible for the sales. She was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, distribution of a controlled substance on school property, and distribution of tobacco/hemp to a minor.

Cresent was placed on administrative leave and is no longer employed with Fairfax County Public Schools. She is currently held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on a $4,000 bond.

The police are seeking additional information from anyone who may have knowledge about the case.
