Dauphin County Announces Tax Rate Increase
(Dauphin County, PA) -- For the first time in almost 20 years, taxes are set to go up in Dauphin County. The Council Commissioners have voted to increase taxes by 21-point-8 percent for 2025. Commissioner George Hartwick said the county was facing a 54-million-dollar budget gap at the end of 2023 because it had been so long since the last time taxes were raised. The last tax increase was 19 years ago.
