As the holiday season approaches, knowing the shipping deadlines for major carriers is crucial to ensure your gifts arrive on time.

For delivery by December 25, the United States Postal Service (USPS) recommends sending packages by December 18 for First-Class Mail and December 19 for Priority Mail within the contiguous United States.

For Alaska and Hawaii, the deadlines are December 16 and December 18, respectively.

According to Eye on Annapolis, Amazon offers flexible shipping options, with key deadlines for guaranteed delivery by December 24. Customers should check Amazon’s shipping page for location-based eligibility.

For UPS, the recommended deadline for ground shipping is December 15, while three-day select service should be used by December 18.

Second-day air packages should be sent by December 20, and next-day air by December 21.

FedEx suggests sending packages by December 15 for ground and home delivery, December 18 for express saver, December 20 for two-day services, and December 21 for overnight services.

IndyStar notes that National Free Shipping Day falls on December 14, providing an opportunity for potential savings with participating retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
