Murder Suspect Kicks Hole In Interrogation Room Wall During Escape Attempt

A shocking video of murder suspect Adlai Mestre, 24, attempting to escape from an interrogation room has gone viral. The incident occurred in Tijeras, New Mexico, where Mestre is accused of killing his mother, father, and 17-year-old sister. The video shows Mestre kicking a hole in the wall of the interrogation room and attempting to escape while officers were momentarily distracted. However, he was quickly recaptured by deputies in the hallway.

According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), Mestre allegedly killed his parents, Raymundo, 46, Bertha, 51, and his sister, Brielle. Deputies arrived at the scene after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots at a home on Young Road. Mestre was found covered in blood and holding a gun. He reportedly admitted to the killings, stating he shot his family members inside the house, dragged their bodies outside, and tried to clean up the scene.

While in custody, Mestre exhibited erratic behavior, scribbling notes about “seismic waves” and claiming he shot at cell towers. Mestre was charged with three counts of murder, four counts of tampering with evidence, and extreme cruelty to animals. Additional charges of escape from police custody and criminal damage to property were added to his case after his escape attempt.

Mestre has a history of being treated at a mental health hospital.
