Boba Fett Action Figure Breaks Auction Record

Boba Fett Action Figure Breaks Auction Record

(Dallas, TX) -- A rare Star Wars action figure has sold for a record-breaking 525-thousand dollars. Heritage Auctions announced Monday that the Boba Fett action figure sold on May 31st is now the world's most valuable vintage toy. The 1979 rocket-firing Boba Fett came with little plastic missiles, but the toy never hit the shelves because it was feared the missiles could become choking hazards. Some of the toys survived, however, and have been in high demand by collectors. Last week's winning bid broke the record for a vintage toy, previously held by a diamond-wearing Barbie doll that sold for over 300-thousand dollars in 2010.
