Woman Charged After Being Found With Cockfighting Birds

(Martic Twp, PA) -- A Lancaster County woman has been arrested after she allegedly was found in possession of 22 injured roosters and a hen linked to cockfighting. The arrest of Kelly Lynn Cole came after an investigation into a cockfighting ring in Maryland led to a farm in Martic Township. The birds used in the Maryland cockfights reportedly were housed at a farm owned by the suspect. Cole told investigators that she keeps the birds as pets and took them to area Four-H shows.
