Former U.S. Postal Worker Convicted Of Delivering Cocaine

(Lancaster County, PA) -- A former U.S. postal worker from Lititz has been convicted of conspiring to deliver cocaine in Lancaster County. The district attorney's office says Carlos Medina, who is 57, was found guilty earlier this month. Investigators say Medina admitted he knew the contents of the packages he agreed to deliver were illegal. He was paid a thousand-dollars each time he made a delivery. Department of Homeland Security officials say they had been following the coke shipments from Puerto Rico to Lancaster County for two years. Estanislao Sanchez-Diaz, who is from the Dominican Republic, was one of Medina's contacts. He has entered an open guilty plea on the same charges as Medina. Both men will be sentenced in May.
