>PA Lawmakers Debate Offering Medical Debt

(Harrisburg, PA) -- As Pennsylvania lawmakers debate offering medical debt, Arizona has recently acted on the idea. Their program will forgive medical debt for up to one million Arizonans. In his budget proposal, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has called for allocating four-million-dollars to pay off medical debt for Pennsylvania's working class families. The state House passed a relief bill with bipartisan support last year, but the measure hasn't moved in the state Senate.
