>>Bucks County Man Arrested For Attacking Cat While High On Meth
(Lancaster, PA) -- Police say they've arrested a Bucks County man who was high on methamphetamine when he allegedly attacked and injured a house cat who he though was a jaguar. West Hempfield Township Police were called to the home in the 100 block of W. Broad Street in Salunga early Sunday to find 56-year-old Richard Swangler and the cat he called about. Swangler reportedly admitted to smoking meth earlier that day; he was taken into custody on an open warrant from Bucks County. Swangler is also facing aggravated animal cruelty charges because the cat was severely injured with detached jaw. It's been treated and is expected to recover. Swangler is in custody in Lancaster County awaiting extradition to Bucks County.
