>>Measure Offers Medical Debt Relief for State Residents

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The state House has passed a standalone bill that would offer medical debt relief. House Bill 78 has been approved with bipartisan support with a dozen Republicans joining all House Democrats in supporting it. The bill is now in the Senate Health and Human Services Committee. Advocates estimate that the state could eliminate medical debt for nearly two-million Pennsylvanians for a price tag of about 40-million-dollars.
