Unlicensed Amish Farmer Who Sold Guns Gets Probation, Fine

(Leacock Township, PA) -- An Amish dairy farmer who sold guns without a license must now forfeit nearly all of the rest of his 600 rifles and shotguns. During a sentencing hearing Tuesday, a U.S. District Court judge also ordered probation for 56-year-old Reuben King and ordered him to pay a 35-thousand-dollar fine. His lawyer previously said they would appeal the case because they say the law King was charged with breaking is unconstitutional and vague. Federal agents seized over 600 rifles and shotguns and more than 10-thousand rounds of ammo. That happened in a raid on King's dairy farm in Leacock Township two years ago.
