Pennsylvania Among 40 States Filing Lawsuit Against Facebook Parent Meta
((Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania has teamed up with 40 other states to file lawsuits against Facebook's parent company Meta. Pennsylvania attorney general Michelle Henry says in a statement that Meta not only targets young minds with addictive, click-bait content but that their actions have also led to mental health problems for kids. Henry also says the company, through its Facebook and Instagram products, has lied to parents about how the platforms are safe. Meta has rejected the legal claims in a statement.
