>Ward Wants Hearing to Examine Shapiro Administration's Handling Of Sexual Harassment Charges

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania's Senate leader says she'll call a hearing to determine why several months passed in the case of an sexual harassment case before the accused official stepped down. Republican President Pro Tempore Kim Ward says a legislative panel will examine the Shapiro's Administration's alleged lack of action against former Secretary of Legislative Affairs Mike Vereb. His abrupt resignation last month is believed to be related to allegations of a former colleague who says he sexually harassed her. Ward says she wants to explore why months elapsed from the time of the incidents were reported until Mr. Vereb resigned September 27th.
