Pennsylvania Considers Earlier Date for 2024 Presidential Primary

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania is considering holding its 2024 presidential primary earlier. State election officials have said they might do that, partly to avoid voting on Passover. State lawmakers advanced legislation Wednesday to change the primary from April 23rd to March 19th. Governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, has said he supports the date change. A separate House bill would move the state primary date to April 2nd.
