Gold Star Families Push For Answers On Afghanistan Pullout

(Escondido, CA) -- Families of service members killed during the chaotic pullout of Afghanistan are demanding answers from the Biden administration. Several family members shared testimony today at a Congressional forum in Escondido, California. Many said they have received inadequate answers from the administration on what occurred at the Kabul Airport where 13 service members were killed in a suicide bombing. The mother of Sergeant Nicole Gee, who was killed in the attack, said she lives every single day knowing her daughter's death could have been prevented. Many of those killed were from the second battalion, first marine regiment assigned to Camp Pendleton.
